Dear Friends, Family, Customers and Fans,
Thank you all for the outpouring of support this past month since the death of our father, Jules Dervaes, Jr. The overwhelming number of comments, cards, calls, texts and emails, as well as donations and gifts of food, time, music, running errands, offering advice and just being there, have been greatly appreciated. The tremendous worldwide response has touched us knowing that our father’s work inspired so many. Even though we may not be able to answer everyone at this time, we want you to know that your condolences and assistance have been a blessing and comfort to our family.
Many of you have asked how you can help us during this transition time. Right now, as you can imagine, we are still in shock and a bit overwhelmed. We are taking things one day at a time, so there is always something needed.
After years of drought, we are grateful for the blessing of winter rains, which has helped out the garden. Spring is just around the corner, obviously a busy season for us on the Homestead. If you would like to help us grow forward and make a donation, please visit our website at http://www.urbanhomestead.org/donate
There will be a public celebration of the life of Jules Dervaes later in the year; the date is still to be determined.
Once again, we appreciate all the ways each of you has reached out to our family and to the community.
Blessings,
Anais, Justin & Jordanne
